So I wanna make few comments on the latest revamp of alchemy and few other stuff.
Firstly, old ingredient system was a mess, and new revamp is aiming exactly at structuring it in some way. Basically, now you are able to either farm ingredients you need by hunting stuff (early game) or get it after acquiring right girls (objective). It still does not really balance all essences in-between, I believe, but at least it makes them prevalent. I'd want to apply similar revamps to other systems, mainly laboratory and spells, and I probably would, if releasing few fixes wasn't so crucial (it is quite a pain really having no dedicated testers/losing them after some time while also caring about not breaking game's version).
So laboratory currently needs more planning plus an actual options to change PCs body. I will likely try to address it in next version, although it is also big work. Most important stuff I want to fix though, is sexual scenes inconsistency, which should also reflect on lab upgrades. While I relatively happy on spell effects, its clear mana is too abundant and mana/sex/energy need corrections. I had some ideas on limiting amount of maximum mana and such and making PC character leveling to unlock more utility, but that's bit too much for my current scales to balance.
I think next update will really focus on whole sex+residents+lab balance. What I'd like to have is bit of tight position on making mana (and other resources in general) more scarce. Then through upgrades and management you'd be able to turn your girls into something bigger. Like an upgrade, which will make normal human girl to produce magic essence (and a way to automatically extract those essences) or more mana, or something else. Speaking of which, powerful spellcasting could use bit more resources as well, but that is more of survival gameplay elements, takes a lot of my time, but not really looked up by many, so let's talk about sex and girls in general.
It's pretty disappointing that I'd have to scrap current scenes for short ones, but that is probably the only way I can ensure consistency at this point + reflect on all unique traits, modifications and characters, which is, what I believe, counts a lot. Lastly, I do want to try fill in Cali's quest into next update at least, but that may take some more time to complete and develop, as writer, which developed 80% of it seems to be gone.
