Wow, cant even be bothered to copy paste anymore huh? The main reason to play the game "the sex" hasn't moved an inch for as long i can remember, the combat even with the improvements is basic as shit, harder enemies wont fix that. The mansion upgrade points are moronic because they force you to waste time and resources on breaking slaves that you don't give a shit about, just to sell them for upgrades that you could just buy with gold before. Past level 18 you're just massing skill points that you have nothing to do with. The game is far away from done brother, in my not so humble opinion the game needs: More sex options, more tactical combat, more passive skills like maybe weapon specs (other than heal all active skills are useless), more slave interaction and random events. Whether or not you listen to my ravings i don't care, because i know you won't, but what i do have a problem with is even hinting that the game might have a price. You do fucking realize that you are being paid already and have been for a year to make the game?! Instead of wasting, yes WASTING money on a new game, pour it all into strive because as i said its far from fucking done. Remember when you said strive might have animated sex scenes...yeah do that if you really have to throw money away. Fucking sad dude really is.
Assuming, this is not a mere rant, lets discuss few things. Firstly, in v48 skill system was revamped into a different one. Mansion upgrade system exists exactly to promote other parts of gameplay without turning it into a 'train best slaves, hit end-day and swim in gold'. You can still do repeatable quests and all quests, including main quest reward with some upgrade points to balance it. I don't believe sex is 'the main reason to play the game' because neither sex, nor art was my main focus at all. The idea of 'do anything with anyone' already implies that sex scenes will be either a poorly disguised cookiecutter or will rely on random images. in terms of "hasn't moved an inch", in last few months we have added at the very least 5 new options (tribadism, frottage, bestiality, light and heavy bondage). A few new 'generic' scenes were added too (including commissions). Side characters also get new scenes every few updates. If you have any other suggestions, than 'animated sex scenes', go ahead, because with current options I can only imagine it as genitalia closeups which I don't think would satisfy many people, including me, but maybe. I agree about combat, is it needs a considerable tweaks to the flow, but that will happen naturally as more content gets added. Lastly, I don't think you quite realize that in first place I get paid for what I'm doing, not for what I *might* do. Indeed, I get paid with the assumption to keep work and improve quality further while also having something to eat. I do spend money for strive and that should be obvious since the gui and artwork improvements (and also some other things which will happen soon). You shouldn't ignore the fact, that I have bills to pay and living to make. This goes above everything else as strive is not a kickstarter project and there's no budget which I could assign as a personal (or anyone's) wage. I believe, that any money I might have saved up might be used as I see fit, and making more products of any kind is not exactly any selfish desire. You also would not ask a patreon artist to pour more money they earn into their drawing or music, because that would make no sense.
Promote other parts of gameplay? No, its there to pointlessly force you to do something you don't care about or be left with a shitty mansion. I would get it in the story mode but not in sandbox its a waste of time. As for animated sex, there's a reason wrote it at the end as a throwaway comment, i don't think anyone cares about it however it would be a better idea than starting a new game. Its obvious that sex isn't your main focus and that's the problem, i can only really speak for myself but i never gave a single shit about the story nor the side characters, so all the extra scenes there are pointless and should be added for every character. When the story is done you're left with the sex and the combat which are both lacking. Doesn't matter if you didn't intend for the sex to be the main focus of the game, because it is, and overlooking it is dumb. Don't flaunt your patreon shit like its a thing to be proud of, you know good and well people are giving you money to make the game, not out of the goodness of their hearts. As long as you make a quality game (which i feel like you haven't) i don't care what you waste the money on. What i do care about is asking for money for what you have already been paid for, the development of a game. This is really my main point, you have already and are still being paid and yes asking to be paid again is selfish, but more importantly it goes against everyone who has supported you so far, by giving you money or otherwise.
You can always throw yourself all points you ever need if you really looking forward to playing the game this way. Game is nearly an open source and I do not forbid anyone to play how they see fit, if you want to skip certain parts I decided to implement, its your right.Again, I haven't heard any coherent suggestions from you about what is wrong with sex bits and what you want improved. I can't just "improve it for the sake of improving it" because I'm mostly satisfied with what exists right now. We could implement some more scenes/text but that's about it. I obviously have no plans to sell the game to patrons so I don't see how I would be asking to 'be paid again'. I merely considered on running additional sales once the product is finished, or alternatively make a separate buyable version with new content. In either case my policy regarding 'earning money' is as light, as you might find (aside from those who don't care at all): I don't complain about people uploading the game ahead of time to different sites, or sharing code, even though I've seen that frequently. You also get full released content in mere or sometimes even less after the patrons, instead of a month or no progress whatsoever. If I could, I would not seek for any sponsorship at all, because I care more about creating what I want, but there is no such option as I'm not rich or ever can hope to become one.
As i said in my first comment which i think is pretty coherent, the sex is fine there just needs to be more of it, more fetishes, more detail. Both you and i have proven that writing multiple walls of text is easy, its just a matter of putting it in the game. Simple details like centaurs not wrapping their legs around you during sex, or giving you footjobs. If you just cant be bothered and even if you can giving us a modding kit or at least instructions would be good, put it on the wiki or something its empty anyway. I really don't get how you think selling the game is fine when the development of it has been paid every step of the way. Selling it is plain greedy and selling it with additional content is dickish and greedy.
I will try to figure out whats the best solution to expand on sex mods. It's true, that it is easy to write walls of text and we even have multiple walls for some scenes. Problem is that we quite haven't found a middle ground on how many scenes there should be and how long they should be. I also not quite sure I can name many convenient fetishes we haven't added yet, so probably making a guide and better way to add custom scenes is a viable approach. >I really don't get how you think selling the game is fine when the development of it has been paid every step of the way.Think about it this way: patrons paid for it, other people get it for free. It would be just as dickish to expect something to be paid for you by someone else. IMO selling it with additional content would exactly justify why there should be paid version at all (standard for free, 'deluxe' for payment), but it just might be too much work to make separate version with more changes just for the sake of it. In either case I have no real plans regarding sales or anything for next several months, and my final decision will be based on how desperate I will be with next project.
Alright...alright sure, modding is good, i look forward to seeing it sooner rather than later. As for selling the game, i still strongly disagree but whatever.I don't think i got another wall of text in me, so i'll just shut up and pirate it when(if) it comes out. For now i'll take the promise of mods and leave.
I would be happy to pay for Strive or any game you make Maverik, however, that does not mean everyone would be happy to.I personally you should keep Strive free, because when you do make your new game and people haven't heard of you or the game, it means that if they have to pay to play then they have no reference to compare your writing style etc to and a lot of people are not willing to pay if there isn't proof/evidence that you write well or you can make a game. If you keep Strive free though, people can be like "oh, I'll try out his free game to see if I want to donate" and in theory, you would have improved a whole lot, so people can also think "wow, his free game was good, his paid one must be sooo much better"I hope I made sense, writing in English is hard haha.

Well first of all, hi from Mexico to all the people who likes this game and the developer that we care and love. ok now the good part, personally i would like to say that this game is really good and "inmersive"(your choices have a cause-effect on your reputation and/or your slaves) and i have had a terrific time playing it (personally the halfskin wolf is my favorite race of all) and i hope the development keeps in continious growth. The parts of the games that laks in are the gameplay related ones, like the combat or the mansion upgrades which are too simplistic or even the slavers guild that makes you grind all the missions that are necessary to upgrade your mansion and sometimes are a little frustrating to make. Another good point to think about is the history of your own character (since in the game you only have 3 secondary stories from emily, cali and the main mission) it would be great to change your own path depending on the backstory you choose, like mercenary being a proffesional assasin that wants to kill the director of the mage's order because he slaved his parents or something like that. also ot would be great to have more random events and secondary missions that has repercussion on other events ( like in the game sword & glory for android) and some other kind of mental things to have ( like being a masochistic or a domi). Although all this things i really have to repoint that i love the game and his backstory of how people become slaves because the want or like, and im very interested in how the major countries in this continent are related, well that's all from me, i hope you read this and remember that you have a fan that follows you ;)
Hi, thanks for your commentary :) I'll be working hard on combat and exploration soon, but I don't think mansion upgrades are that simplistic (although they could be represented better). There have been considerably more secondary stories in the latest version (besides those you named, there has been Chloe, Yris, Ayneris, Emily's sister) and more are coming. There's no plans to flesh out main story depending on generation though, as it would require significantly more writing and content (or even worse, main story rewriting).

Well i was introduced in the game about a week or two ago so maybe i havent encountered the other girl, sorry for speaking to early, and yeah it would be cool to have a more complex mansion management (or better represented as you said) and about the main story, yeah i didnt think that very well but it would still be cool to have a little bit more of backstory about our character and his/her past. And about the exploration and combat, more enemy types and new kinds of power(including new weapons and armor) can make the experience more fun and tactical, also there could be a kind of restriction where just some kind of slaves can cast a specific kind of spell (for example, elfs could cast barrier and goblins acid spits) or a specific kind of weapon too.Ps.:i didn't think you would respond me so quick so im a little excited and nervous because of thatPs2.: Congrats on being so proffesional with the hater guy up there, that means you are a great person :)Signs: an even more loyal fan ;)
By the way, is there a specific quantity of money i need to donate to get the deluxe version of the game? Maybe thats why i havent encountered the other girls :(
There's no locked content in the game, other than supporter panel. You should explore more, one character can be met at Wimborn's forest, another at Gorn's tavern. Emily sister's quest should start soon after you recruit her. Latest character can be randomly encountered near the amberguard. I have some plans for exploration and combat which might come in motion soon.

In the interest of just balancing some of this out I will just make this comment. I really enjoy the game. Some of the backstory, I just have to fill in for myself, but I like that there's a significant sandbox component to the game.The only thing I found to be a little challenging is that some of the slave stats are far harder to max than others. Specifically, any trait that is gated by being only once daily (with a low improvement chance/percentage) or some that are mutually exclusive to others. But ultimately, I found the game to be good. I can agree the combat is a little simplistic but frankly I preferred it that way. The game is more a trainer with some combat than a combat RPG with some training. Adding a lot of complexity or additional time to the combat could be distracting.I'd love a little more variance in what I find while exploring though. It was really cool to discover things while out adventuring.If I was to suggest things to expand, it really would be more unique/random things to find while out and about. With the caution that finding rare things shouldn't be an impediment to progress for people who don't chose to go that route. (IE: Risk/Time/Reward should be balanced still.)
What do you mean by gated traits? I do plan to introduce more to exploration and random encounters eventually though.
As far as gated, I mean that some starting attributes seem harder to get slaves experience with due to the selection of starting jobs. Some of the jobs where the slaves skill would be most appropriate require a specific quality level, etc which makes my newbie slaves either take the same path and diversify or really have to grind it out.There may be something about that though that I'm missing as I don't really see a good wiki page for daily assignments.
