...why did you fuck with the resolution...no really it was fine the way it was. Making the text larger just makes it overlap everything next to it, so that doesn't help at all.

how do I reporta a bug? my character used all of his energy and now doesn't regain it. the typical "end of day" process was altered as well it does all the actions and doesn't report them
ReplyDeleteSeems to be the issue with some slave's missing gear. I'll fix it in next update, for now you can manually inspect every slave.
DeleteHow do you increase a girl's charm now? Clothing doesn't seem to do anything anymore, which is fine, but blowjobs used to increase charm and under the new sex system don't seem to affect it at all.

3.1 should bring back gles2 support so yeah, compatibility will be restored. The problem is that it likely will take more than a few months.

1. its not really targeting 3D, since its performance is meh. It is pretty fair on 2D games and there's much better options if you want to go 3d (unreal, unity). In terms of compatibility, this won't be an issue once 3.1 is out, which should have old support back.

3. They are hardly DRMed, as they are basically simply compiled in the same way scripts are (binary style if I'm getting it right). And I actually prefer it this way, since it makes existing content less obvious and easy to view.

3) Actually they are not. The engine takes the picture and uses "compress/lossy_quality=0.7" == compresses the picture to 70% of it's original quality then adds the engine "DRM" in the beginning of the mangled image file ...
P.S. The DRM is in quotes because it's even crappier and easier to fix then the one used by RPG Maker MV, the problem is that it is messing with the images quality and that is something I don't like especially if there is no warning to the developer beforehand ...
3. I've checked to be sure and I believe I do compress images in lossless mode.
DeleteThe Godot v3.0.2 game engine uses this variable "compress/lossy_quality=0.7" to do additional lossy compression on the images you provide.
DeleteIn case you need proof jut open one of the *.png.import files and look under [params].
If you need visual proof I can easily diff compare any picture you select that's available and unchanged in the 0.5.4.1e version with it's 0.5.5d counterpart as proof.

Because compression is exactly that - compression, it's utilized to make overall size smaller by encrypting the image with compression algorithm. It's supposed to keep quality on same level, but looks like it's not exactly 'lossless' according to your comparisons.

here's the truly 0.7 lossy compressed chancellor which weights more than 10 times less than original. Feel free to compare it.
No offense dude but you seem to be mistaking the terms and there consequences: compression (as in zip where the result is identical to the source, a compressed PNG results in the same picture as the uncompressed version of the same PNG) vs conversion (as in PNG to WebP where depending on the settings you might loos quality - the example you provided) vs loosy recompresion (where you loose quality each time you do it like the *.stex files in 0.5.5d)

That was meant for ingame images. You can edit the scripts and add new stuff just fine.

ReplyDeleteBut, maybe you could help me. My computer (a potatotop, as I like to call it) only has OpenGL 2, and unfortunately Strive does *not* have the ability to launch thanks to this updated engine that refuses to use OpenGL 2.
Anyway to get around this?
I tried to maybe use x32 bit but it didnt work so thats out the window.
At this moment godot does not support GPUS with no gles3.0. You will have to wait or upgrade your gpu.
DeleteNot sure if its just me but 0.5.11a is broken as shit. Cant leave mansion, cant level player character, clicking slaves name opens inventory sometimes and it cant close...Probably more stuff aswell.

ReplyDeleteAlso, events between slaves and slave-slave relations(likes) should be added. Neither seems complicated. Slave relation would simply be a slave variable - an array holding other slave ID's and love value - the value would be affected by sex actions with that slave, working on the same job, fetishes/personality and random slave events
